Sue Ellen McCann
Senior Fellow
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sue Ellen McCann is a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Learning Innovation. She spent 35 years immersed in the field of media, working with a variety of media organizations including KQED, Studio Miramar and the Center for Investigative Reporting. She is the retired Executive in Charge, Science, at KQED, a public media station, where she developed and launched the science unit, the largest science reporting and producing team in the West. During that time she was the PI for three National Science Foundation AISL grants that explored the intersection of media, learning and engagement through varied media platforms, editorial practices and audience research.
Sue Ellen’s expertise includes media practices and usage, practitioner-researcher collaborations, audience research, professional development and project management.
