Partnerships for Broader Impacts Design project (BID)
The Partnerships for Broader Impacts Design (BID) project built a set of resources created to assist higher education institutions (HEIs) and informal science education organizations (ISEs) in developing robust institutional partnerships through collaboration around the design of education-based Broader Impacts (BI) experiences. This project (built on the successful Portal to the Public (PoP) framework) brought together both the expertise and resources of HEIs and ISEs around a shared mission to engage public audiences in current STEM research.
This project was led by the Institute for Learning Innovation (ILI) and funded by the National Science Foundation.
Key to this effort, was a strong collaboration between Cornell University, Oregon State University’s Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning, Pacific Science Center, Sciencenter, University of Washington – Bothell, University of Wisconsin – Madison, and the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
